(and i'm hungry too)

i'm feeling the aching need to have a good long walk; my legs are feeling restless. what am i talking. now my legs have feelings.

good grief.

but i guess it's the lack of walking this week (for the past many weeks i've been having half hour walks from the mrt station to the volunteering place, and the same thing back, refusing to take the bus), along with the 3 hour lectures today and on tuesday which left my backside a little sore and my legs slightly under-used. okay maybe i should've left out the backside part.

i've been meaning to pen this down:

my dajie had presented a theory, some sort of a revelation to me.
2 nights ago we were having dinner and i was staring at my mountain of rice, while complaining to her that for some time now i've been getting hungry half an hour after a hearty lunch. she looked at me and said, ''you know, the more you eat, the higher your metabolism rate will be.'' ''no way!!!" i shouted. "really. you see, the more you eat, your body will get accustomed to the fact that this is the amount of intake it will get each day, and work harder to burn off the unnecessary and keep what the body needs. so in this way the metabolic rate increases. take people who try to lose weight by eating less. the body registers the fact that intake will be little, so it doesn't work as hard to burn the stuff, cos there's not much unnecessary stuff to burn. in other words, the metabolic rate slows down. that's why when these people decide to eat more again, they gain weight much easier, cos the metabolic rate is still at that slow stage."

revelation, revelation.

unless you are genetically plus-sized, ceteris paribus, i think you will reach a stage where your body reacts in this way. let's not talk about baby fat, they go away when you've grown. metabolic rate also slows down as you age, so we shall leave middle to senior aged people out. other than those, makes sense, right?

this makes for good discussion.

my erjie has another theory. but totally unrelated.
those who know my erjie (through biased, one-sided but undeniably authentic recounts on my side) will know it surely has something to do with moolah. (money LA). which is true. my sister is already living a taitai life nearly beyond her financial means. we all feel pity for her boyfriend and husband-to-be. (they are, fortunately, the same person) so anyway, her theory, or rather, school of thought is this: "anything below $5 is as good as free. so no need to think. just buy." she was appalled when some time back i hesitated to buy a hairband that cost $1.90, cos i already have a mountain of those at home already.

i won't even elaborate on or discuss this theory/school of thought. all this warrants is a laugh and moving on with life.

i don't have a theory, as yet.
but i do have a saying:
"wise people spread like peanut butter."
it was a collaborated theory, and the meaning offered was "wisdom, in its essence is all about the enthalpy of the world merging into a symphony of worldly equilibrium."
sometimes gmail just saves the most mindless but sometimes useful things. haha.
alright ciao. blogger is going crazy.
(i cant delete this indentation! insane.)
